Grace and I were on a photographic tour with
Dave Wyman and
Ken Rockwell at Yosemite and Eastern Sierra. This picture was taken from the vista point on route 395 looking over Mono Lake toward east at 6:57 AM on October 23.
Driving further north and looking west as the sun rose, we can see the Mt. Conness bathed under the glorious early morning sun light.

These are two of the best picture that I've seen all day. Great shots.
Lovely shots, I love the photograph of the mantis too-how wonderful that you captured it even though it was trying to camoflage itself. Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing:)

Hello, Grace and Bradley :)
What a beautiful place you have captured here! A wonderful sky in the first photo. But anyway - the secound is my favourite! Amazing colours and nature. Whis John and I where there with our cameras to :)
Great sunrise photo, and amazing light in the second one.
Lovely composition and simply beautiful photos!
Beautiful photos! the sunrise colors are gorgeous...love the second shot with the mountain in light...
OMG, I have the same shot of that place from that vantage point, only it was taken during daytime. I didn't realize it was doubly spectacular during dusk. Oh I was talking about the first image.
I would frame the photograph of Mt. Conness. It doesn't get any better than this.

What a gorgeous view of the mountain. This would make an awesome poster. Great skywatch photo.
Both photos are very special, wonderful sunset and I like the pattern of plant growth on the second photo as well as the pretty sky.
Beautiful shots! Your first one of Mono looked so much like the one Rune at Bildebloggen posted that I had to go back and compare the two. The colors are almost identical, as are the clouds.
Gorgeous, really perfect shots. They would make beautiful prints.
